Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: July 1, 2026 Version: v2.4.0
What changed in v2.4.0 (July 1, 2026): Added Section 4.12 "Customer-Directed AI Integration (Connecting Your Own AI Assistant)" covering the optional Kingdom-plan connector that lets a Church Admin connect an external AI assistant (such as Claude or ChatGPT) to their own church's data, the data-controller / data-conduit / data-processor roles that apply, the in-app consent and revocation controls, and the incorporation by reference of the separate AI Assistant Integration Terms. Added the "Customer-Directed AI Integration" and "AI Assistant Integration Terms" definitions.
What changed in v2.3.0 (May 21, 2026): Section 3.6.1(f) (safeguarding-and-reporting) now names the Special Juvenile Police Unit (SJPU) and local police under POCSO §19, and the NCPCR, as the correct Indian reporting authorities. New subsections 3.6.1(j) (POCSO Reporting Officer designation) and 3.6.1(k) (personal-law custody carve-out) have been added.
What changed in v2.1.0 (May 3, 2026): Added Section 3.6.1 "Children Registered Via My Family" covering the parent's responsibilities when creating a child (dependent) profile, enrolling the child in church Kids Programs, linking a co-guardian, and handling pickup. The existing Section 3.6 (parental consent for users-under-18 who hold their own account) is unchanged.

1. Acceptance of Terms
1.1 By creating an Account, accessing, or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.
1.2 If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, you are not authorized to access or use the Platform and must immediately discontinue all use.
1.3 These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Nlarj with respect to your use of the Platform and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, whether electronic, oral, or written.
2. Eligibility
2.1 Eligibility Requirements
To register for and use the Platform, you must satisfy each of the following requirements. Each requirement is a material representation that Nlarj relies on in accepting your registration:
- (a) Age. You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Platform. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent.
- (b) Christian community membership. You must either be a practicing Christian who identifies with the Christian faith, or an individual with a genuine, good-faith personal interest in learning about Christianity and Christian spirituality of your own free will, as further described in the Faith Affirmation in Section 3.
- (c) Church affiliation. Where you assert an affiliation with a particular church, ministry, or congregation on the Platform, that affiliation must be truthful. You must not fabricate, misstate, or impersonate affiliation with a church, ministry, or congregation with which you have no genuine relationship.
- (d) Personal registration. You must register for the Platform on your own behalf, using your own accurate identity information. You must not register using another person's identity, a fictitious identity, or credentials that do not belong to you.
2.2 Capacity and Authority
- By using the Platform, you represent that you meet each eligibility requirement in Section 2.1.
- You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction.
- If you are registering on behalf of an organization (church, ministry), you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2.3 Prohibited Registrants
You are not permitted to register for or use the Platform if you:
- Do not satisfy any of the eligibility requirements in Section 2.1;
- Intend to use the Platform for hostile intelligence gathering, infiltration of the Christian community served by the Platform, disruption of religious activity, or any action intended to cause harm to that community or its members;
- Have previously been removed or banned from the Platform for breach of these Terms, and have not received written reinstatement from Nlarj;
- Are accessing the Platform from a jurisdiction in which Nlarj has blocked access, or in which your use of the Platform would cause Nlarj to violate applicable law;
- Are acting on behalf of a third party (including any government agency, investigative organisation, or adverse party) for the purpose of building a legal, regulatory, or media case against Nlarj or the Christian community served by the Platform, without disclosing that purpose; or
- Are otherwise prohibited under applicable law.
2.4 Material Misrepresentation and Counter-Action
Each of the eligibility requirements in Section 2.1 — age, Christian community membership, church affiliation, and personal registration — is a material representation that Nlarj relies on in accepting your registration and granting you access to the Platform. By completing the registration flow, you warrant that each representation is true at the time you make it and will remain true throughout your use of the Platform.
If any such representation is false, Nlarj reserves all rights and remedies available under applicable law, including but not limited to:
-
Civil remedies for fraud and misrepresentation under the Indian Contract Act 1872 Sections 17, 18, and 19, including damages, rescission of the contract, and recovery of costs;
-
Civil damages for any loss caused to Nlarj by the false representation, including but not limited to legal defense costs, investigation costs, reputational harm, and time lost in addressing the consequences of the misrepresentation;
-
Criminal referral for cheating under Indian Penal Code Section 420, where the false representation was made to obtain Platform services or benefits;
-
Criminal referral for cheating by personation using a computer resource under Information Technology Act 2000 Section 66D, where the false representation involved a false identity, forged document, or misuse of another person's credentials;
-
Civil and criminal defamation action under Indian Penal Code Sections 499 and 500, where the user, after making a false representation at registration, subsequently makes false or defamatory statements about Nlarj or the Christian community served by the Platform;
-
Criminal referral for false charge of offence under Indian Penal Code Section 211, where the user files a false criminal complaint against Nlarj knowing there is no just or lawful ground;
-
Criminal referral for false information to a public servant under Indian Penal Code Section 182, where the user provides false information to police, a regulator, or any other public authority with intent to cause Nlarj harm;
-
Referral to the appropriate Cybercrime Cell, State Crime Branch, or equivalent investigating authority where the conduct involves technology-assisted offenses;
-
Immediate termination of the user's account, forfeiture of any session credits, subscription fees, or other balances, and retention of the user's registration records for evidentiary purposes for the maximum period permitted by applicable law;
-
Cost recovery — the user who made the false representation agrees to indemnify Nlarj for all legal fees, court costs, and other expenses incurred by Nlarj in defending against any complaint, investigation, or legal action the user caused by their false representation. This cost recovery right survives account termination.
Evidence preservation. Nlarj retains registration records, Faith Affirmation records, Voluntary Participation Declaration records, church affiliation records, consent logs, IP addresses, device information, and OAuth identity records specifically for the purpose of defending against false complaints and supporting the remedies in this Section 2.4. By registering, you consent to Nlarj retaining these records for the maximum period permitted by applicable law, notwithstanding any other retention provision in these Terms or the Privacy Policy.
Good faith exception. This Section 2.4 does not apply to users who raise legitimate, good-faith concerns, complaints, or grievances about the Platform or its operation. Nlarj welcomes honest feedback and will investigate genuine complaints. This Section applies only to bad-faith misrepresentations and complaints — situations where the user knew or should have known their representation was false when made. Nlarj will use reasonable judgment to distinguish good-faith from bad-faith conduct before invoking the remedies in this Section.
3. Faith Affirmation & Voluntary Participation
IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR INDIA USERS: This section is particularly relevant to comply with state Freedom of Religion laws in India.
3.1 Nature of Platform
Nlarj is an expressly Christian faith-based platform. All content, services, and community interactions are rooted in:
- The Christian faith and biblical principles
- The teachings of the Holy Bible
- Christian spirituality, prayer, and fellowship
3.2 Faith Affirmation
By registering for and using Nlarj, you affirm and declare that:
-
You are either:
- A practicing Christian who identifies with the Christian faith, OR
- An individual who is genuinely interested in learning about Christianity and Christian spirituality of your own free will
-
You understand and accept that all content, guidance, prayers, and community interactions on this Platform are based on Christian beliefs and biblical teachings
-
You are NOT joining this Platform due to:
- Force, coercion, or undue influence by any person
- Allurement, inducement, or fraudulent means
- Any promise of material benefit
- Any threat or pressure from any individual or group
3.3 Voluntary Participation Declaration
YOU EXPRESSLY DECLARE THAT:
"I am joining Nlarj of my own free will and volition. I have NOT been forced, coerced, allured, induced, or pressured by any person or entity to join this Platform. I understand that Nlarj is a Christian faith-based platform, and I am participating voluntarily because I am a Christian OR because I have a genuine personal interest in Christianity and wish to explore the Christian faith on my own terms."
3.4 No Conversion Activities
Nlarj:
- Does NOT engage in forced or fraudulent religious conversion
- Does NOT offer any material inducement for users to change their religion
- Does NOT target individuals for conversion against their will
- Provides a platform for voluntary faith community participation only
All users join of their own free will. Users may leave the Platform at any time without any consequence.
3.5 Respect for Individual Choice
- You may leave the Platform at any time without providing any reason
- Your participation is entirely voluntary
- No one associated with Nlarj will contact you to prevent you from leaving
- We respect your right to freedom of religion and conscience
3.6 Parental/Guardian Consent (Minors)
For users under 18 years of age in India:
- Parent or guardian consent is required before joining the Platform
- The parent/guardian affirms they consent to the minor accessing Christian faith-based content
- The parent/guardian confirms this is a voluntary decision
3.6.1 Children Registered Via "My Family" (Dependent Profiles)
This section applies when a parent or legal guardian uses the My Family / Kids Programs feature to register a child (a person under 18) as a dependent profile under the parent's own account, so the child can be enrolled in a church-run Kids Program (Sunday School, music class, kids' Bible study, etc.). The child has no separate account and does not log in.
(a) You must be the parent or legal guardian. By creating a child profile, you represent and warrant that you are the child's biological parent, adoptive parent, or court-recognised legal guardian, and that you have full legal authority under Indian law (Indian Majority Act 1875, JJ Act 2015, DPDP Act 2023) — or the equivalent law of your country — to consent on the child's behalf.
(b) You consent on the child's behalf. Creating a child profile constitutes your verifiable parental consent under the DPDP Act 2023 (India), COPPA (USA, where the child is under 13), and GDPR Art. 8 (EU, where the child is under 16). You confirm:
- The child is not a "person of unsound mind" under Indian law;
- You consent to the specific data fields described in the Privacy Policy §9.4;
- You consent to the data being shared with the Kids Program organizers of the specific church you enrol the child in (users holding the
ch_ministry_leaderorch_youth_leaderrole at that church only); - Photo upload, if you choose to opt in, is a separate granular consent that you can withdraw at any time.
(c) Accuracy of medical and emergency information. You agree to provide truthful and reasonably current information for the allergy, medical-notes, and emergency-contact fields. Inaccurate or out-of-date information can endanger your child's life. Nlarj and the church organizers act on the data you provide and have no independent means of verifying it.
(d) Co-guardian linking (mother + father pattern). If you link a co-guardian (typically the other parent), you affirm that the co-guardian also has lawful authority to consent on the child's behalf. Either guardian can: edit the child's profile, generate pickup QR codes, view enrolment status, remove themselves from the link, or withdraw the child from a program. You agree that an action taken by one linked guardian binds the other for purposes of the Platform's record-keeping. Disputes between guardians (custody, separation, restraining orders, etc.) are not arbitrated by the Platform — please resolve them with appropriate legal authorities and notify us via privacy@promisedlandlabs.com so we can disable the contested link.
(e) Pickup and check-in. The Platform provides a QR-code mechanism for pickup verification. The QR encodes only an opaque token, not the child's data. You agree:
- Treat the QR code like a house key — do not share it with anyone you would not trust to pick up your child;
- If a pickup occurs via the last-4-digits-of-emergency-phone fallback, that event is recorded in the child-safety audit log;
- The church organizer remains the on-site decision-maker for releasing your child. The Platform is a record-keeping and verification tool; it is not a substitute for the organizer's professional judgment if something appears wrong.
(f) Safeguarding and reporting. Kids Program organizers are subject to the protections in Section 7.7 (Protection of Minors) of these Terms. If you become aware of any abuse, neglect, exploitation, or grooming behaviour involving any child on the Platform, you must report it immediately — to the Special Juvenile Police Unit (SJPU) or local police within 24 hours under Section 19 of the POCSO Act 2012. The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) may additionally be notified as a monitoring authority under the Commissions for Protection of Child Rights Act 2005; such notification does not substitute for the Section 19 report to SJPU or local police. For other jurisdictions, report to the NCMEC CyberTipline (USA) or the equivalent authority in your country — and to safety@promisedlandlabs.com so we can preserve evidence and cooperate with the investigation.
(g) Withdrawal and deletion. You may at any time:
- Withdraw your child from any program (immediate);
- Soft-delete the child profile (data scrubbed within 30 days of soft-delete; the audit log purges on its rolling 90-day window);
- Withdraw photo consent (stored photos deleted within 7 days);
- Remove a co-guardian, or remove yourself as a guardian if a co-guardian remains.
(h) Age-out at 18. When the registered child reaches their 18th birthday, the dependent profile is automatically frozen. The child may then create their own member account if they wish; we will not transfer historic Kids Program data to that adult account without their fresh, post-18 consent.
(i) No fee, no advertising, no AI training. Nlarj does not charge parents to register a child profile or to use Kids Programs features. Child data is never used to target advertising, train AI models, or for any purpose outside the specific Kids Program(s) you enrolled the child into.
(j) POCSO Reporting Officer. Nlarj's POCSO Reporting Officer is Ruth Sumanchupalli, reachable at posco@promisedlandlabs.com. Credible reports of CSAM, grooming, or abuse are escalated to SJPU/local police under POCSO §19 within 24 hours of disclosure.
(k) Personal-law custody. Where Indian personal-law rules (the Indian Divorce Act 1869, the Indian Christian Marriage Act 1872, the Special Marriage Act 1954, the Hindu Minority and Guardianship Act 1956, the Guardians and Wards Act 1890, or the personal law applicable to the parents/guardians) designate a sole or primary natural guardian, that designation prevails over any co-guardian link configured on the Platform. The Platform's co-guardian link does not override a court-recognised custody order. On receipt of a certified copy of a court order at safety@promisedlandlabs.com, Nlarj will suspend or restructure the link within 7 days.
(l) Co-guardian objection. If a co-guardian registers an objection in-app to the enrolment, dependent-profile state, or any pickup permission, the affected dependent profile and all in-flight program enrolments will be paused pending guardian agreement or a certified court order under §3.6.1(k). No Platform action prejudices either guardian's rights under personal law. Objections are recorded at safety@promisedlandlabs.com.

4.12 Customer-Directed AI Integration (Connecting Your Own AI Assistant)
CHURCH ADMINS — READ BEFORE CONNECTING AN AI ASSISTANT
Customer-Directed AI Integration is an optional feature, available only on the Kingdom plan and only to Church Admins, that lets you connect an external AI assistant of your own choosing — such as Claude (Anthropic), ChatGPT (OpenAI), or any other Model Context Protocol–compatible tool — to your own Church's data, through our connector at mcp.nlarj.app. Members, Seekers, counselors, and guests cannot enable it.
This feature is separate and different from the AI Features described in Section 4.4 and Section 4.11. Those AI Features are operated by Nlarj using LLM Providers we select. The Customer-Directed AI Integration instead routes your Church's data to an AI provider you select, under your account with that provider.
How you connect and control it. Enabling a connection requires an explicit in-app approval — you scan a QR code or paste a one-time code, then confirm on a screen that names the app requesting access. You can view and revoke any active connection at any time from the admin app. Revoking a connection ends that AI assistant's access. Nlarj keeps an append-only record of each connect and revoke event as proof of consent, as described in the Privacy Policy (§3.5).
The legal roles that apply. For any data routed through the connector:
- You (the Church, acting through the Admin) are the data controller / Data Fiduciary. You decide what to ask, which AI provider to use, and what to do with the answer. You are solely responsible for establishing a lawful basis for the underlying member data and for giving your members any notice or obtaining any consent that your local law (including the India DPDP Act, 2023, and the GDPR where applicable) requires before routing their data to an external AI assistant — especially sensitive data such as prayer requests, which can reveal religious beliefs or health information.
- Nlarj acts only as a data conduit. We authenticate the request, enforce security controls, log connection metadata for audit purposes, and pass the data through at your instruction. We do not read the substance of your questions or the AI's answers, we do not decide what data is routed where, and we are not a party to your relationship with the AI provider.
- The AI provider you connect is your own processor, not a sub-processor of Nlarj. Once your Church's data reaches that provider, it is held in your account with them and is governed by their terms and privacy policy — including their retention, model-training, and cross-border-transfer practices — not by these Terms or Nlarj's Data Processing Addendum. You must review and accept each AI provider's own terms separately, and you are responsible for configuring your account with them (for example, opting out of model training where they offer it).
Nlarj disclaims liability for the output, accuracy, security, uptime, retention, or regulatory compliance of any AI provider you choose to connect, and for any regulatory exposure arising from your failure to establish a lawful basis or to notify or obtain consent from your members. Bulk extraction of member data to build a secondary database outside Nlarj, and any use that circumvents your members' reasonable expectation of confidentiality, is prohibited and may result in immediate suspension of the feature.
Incorporation by reference. The full terms of this feature — including your consent obligations to members, the permitted and prohibited integration patterns, the security controls Nlarj commits to, and the liability allocation — are set out in the separate AI Assistant Integration Terms, which are incorporated into this Agreement by reference and which you accept when you enable the feature. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the AI Assistant Integration Terms on the subject matter of the Customer-Directed AI Integration feature, the AI Assistant Integration Terms prevail; for all other matters, these Terms prevail.

9. Membership, Payments & Subscriptions
9.1 Membership-Based Software Model
Nlarj operates on a membership subscription model. You pay for access to our software platform and features, not for guidance services.

| Individual Member | Access to prayer features, church connections, event discovery |
| Church Admin | Church management software, member tools, analytics |
| Biblical Guide | Platform access, scheduling tools, video infrastructure, payment processing |
9.2 Payment Processing
- Payments are processed through secure third-party processors (Razorpay in India, Stripe in USA)
- Membership fees are billed according to your subscription plan (monthly/annual)
- You agree to provide accurate billing information
9.3 Guidance Session Payments
- Payments for guidance sessions are transactions between you and the independent biblical guide
- Nlarj processes these payments as a payment facilitator on behalf of biblical guides

- Session refunds are governed by individual biblical guide policies
9.4 Subscription Pricing
- Subscription prices are displayed on the Platform
- We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days notice

9.5 Church Giving & Donations
[ALERT] CRITICAL DISCLAIMER: Nlarj DOES NOT HANDLE MONEY FOR CHURCH GIVING
9.5.1 UPI/Direct Giving (Nlarj NOT Involved in Payment)
For Church Giving features displaying UPI IDs, bank details, or other payment information:
| What We Do | What We Do NOT Do |
|---|---|
| Display church's UPI ID or payment details | Process, receive, or touch any money |
| Provide a user interface for giving | Act as a payment intermediary |
| Show church-provided payment information | Verify payment completion |
| Allow churches to update their payment info | Handle refunds or disputes |
YOU EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE:
- NO MONEY FLOWS THROUGH NLARJ: When you see a UPI ID, bank account, or payment QR code on Nlarj, your payment goes DIRECTLY to the church - NOT through our platform
- WE ARE INFORMATION DISPLAY ONLY: We simply display payment information provided by churches - like a digital bulletin board
- CHURCH RESPONSIBILITY: The church is solely responsible for:
- Accuracy of their UPI ID, bank details, or payment information
- Receiving and tracking donations
- Issuing receipts and acknowledgments
- Handling refunds or payment disputes
- Tax compliance and 80G/501(c)(3) certificates
- NO PAYMENT VERIFICATION: We have NO way to know if you made a payment, how much you paid, or if the payment was successful
- NO PAYMENT RECORDS: We do NOT maintain records of UPI or direct payments - contact your church directly for receipts
Nlarj is NOT liable for:
- Payments made to incorrect UPI IDs displayed by churches
- Fraudulent UPI IDs or payment information provided by malicious actors
- Failed, delayed, or disputed transactions
- Lost funds due to any reason
- Churches failing to acknowledge or properly use donations
- Tax deductibility of any donation
- Any aspect of the financial transaction between you and the church
[WARNING] ALWAYS VERIFY: Before making any payment, independently verify the UPI ID or payment details with your church through a separate channel (phone call, in-person, official church website).
9.5.2 Platform-Processed Donations (Where Applicable)
Where Nlarj does process donations through integrated payment processors:
Important Clarifications:
- Payments are processed through third-party processors (Razorpay, Stripe)
- We do NOT receive, hold, or manage church funds - payments go directly to churches via payment processors
- Nlarj is a technology platform, NOT a charitable organization
- We are NOT a trustee, custodian, or fiduciary of any donations
- All tax exemption certificates (80G in India, 501(c)(3) in USA) are the responsibility of the receiving church/ministry
- We do NOT guarantee tax deductibility of any donations
Our Role is Limited to:
- Providing the technology for online donation processing
- Integrating with payment processors (Razorpay, Stripe)
- Generating transaction reports for churches
We do NOT:
- Hold or control donated funds
- Make decisions about fund usage
- Provide tax receipts on behalf of churches
- Guarantee security of funds after transfer to churches
9.6 Church Admin Fraud Prevention
Church Admins may NOT:
- Create fake or fraudulent church profiles to collect donations

- Claim donations for personal use rather than church purposes
- Create fake member accounts to artificially inflate membership
- Share or sell member personal data
- Create false events to collect registration fees
- Impersonate another church or ministry
- Falsely claim affiliation with denominations or organizations
- Use church admin privileges to harass or discriminate against members
- Collect donations for stated purposes and use them differently (misappropriation)
Consequences for Church Admin Fraud:
- Immediate church account suspension
- Freezing of pending donation payouts
- Reporting to RBI, police, or relevant authorities in India
- Permanent ban from the Platform
- Civil or criminal action as appropriate
9.7 Donation Abuse Prevention
Donors should be aware:
- Donations go directly to churches, NOT to Nlarj
- We are NOT responsible for how churches use donations
- We do NOT verify church tax-exempt or 80G status
- If you suspect donation fraud, report to: support@nlarj.app
- We may investigate but CANNOT recover funds already transferred to churches
Churches must:
- Use donations for the purposes stated
- Maintain proper financial records
- Provide receipts to donors when requested
- Not solicit donations under false pretenses
9.8 FCRA Compliance (India - Foreign Donations)
[WARNING] IMPORTANT FOR INDIAN CHURCHES RECEIVING FOREIGN DONATIONS
Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 (FCRA):
Churches in India receiving donations from foreign sources (including NRIs, international credit cards, or foreign bank accounts) MUST comply with FCRA:
| Requirement | Church Responsibility |
|---|---|
| FCRA Registration | Church must have valid FCRA registration to receive foreign donations |
| Designated Bank Account | Foreign donations must go to FCRA-designated bank account |
| Annual Returns | Church must file annual FCRA returns with Ministry of Home Affairs |
| Usage Restrictions | Foreign funds cannot be used for certain activities |
Nlarj's Position:
- We do NOT verify FCRA registration status of churches
- Churches are SOLELY responsible for FCRA compliance
- If a church receives foreign donations without FCRA registration, that is THEIR legal violation
- We will cooperate with Ministry of Home Affairs inquiries
- We may block cross-border donations to specific churches if directed by authorities
Consequences of FCRA Violations (for Churches):
- Government seizure of funds
- Cancellation of FCRA license
- Criminal prosecution of church administrators
- Nlarj is NOT liable for church FCRA violations
